Afono Pass Overlook is an informal roadside viewpoint on Tutuila's Route 006, above Pago Pago Harbor. Keep it as a quick pause on the park-area drive, and stop only when you can pull fully clear of traffic; this isn't a developed overlook and the exact safe stopping space isn't confirmed.
Pago Pago Harbor sits below green, forested ridges, with settlement along the far shore. The broad harbor-and-hills view is the reason to stop. For a photo, include the nearer wooded slope and a strip of roadside barrier so the harbor has depth and the roadside setting is clear.
A firsthand account describes room for about two cars, but the pull-off layout isn't officially marked. No public facilities are documented for the pass, so plan restrooms, water and other services elsewhere.
