Castle Junction Bridge Viewpoint is a small roadside pullout beside the Bow River crossing at Castle Junction, where Highway 93 South meets the Trans-Canada. It’s a quick stop for the bridge, river and Castle Mountain, not a destination that needs a long visit. The parking area is small; plan on about 10–15 minutes for a look and a few photos.

The parking-lot view isn’t the same from every spot: trees can hide part of Castle Mountain, while another river-side position gives the bridge and water more room. Look for a safe, public angle around the crossing. For a photo, keep the Bow River in the foreground and the mountain behind it; that makes the scene read as a river crossing, not just another mountain view.

Check your routeThe viewpoint is at Castle Junction beside Highway 93 South.

The viewpoint is at Castle Junction beside Highway 93 South. The Bow Valley Parkway’s annual 8 p.m.–8 a.m. vehicle restriction from March 1 to June 25 covers a separate 17-kilometre stretch between Johnston Canyon Campground and Fireside Picnic Area, not this bridge stop. Check current road access if you’re continuing along the Parkway. A small convenience store is nearby in the Castle Junction area; it isn’t part of the pullout.
