The routeThis is an out-and-back of about 9.
This is an out-and-back of about 9.9 miles total, beginning at the Peyto Lake parking area and using the viewpoint access trail before descending to the gravel flats beside Peyto Creek. The route crosses the creek area, follows the established trail up the lateral moraine, and reaches Caldron Lake after roughly 5 miles one way. The stored line stops at the lake; it does not continue toward Caldron Peak or the more committing summit route.
