Blairfindy Castle is a compact, roofless L-plan tower house overlooking the Glenlivet area. If you like small historic ruins, it makes a worthwhile half-mile detour from The Glenlivet Distillery; think of it as a brief heritage stop, not a full afternoon. Visitors can step inside the stabilized walls and read the interpretation boards.

Guide
Park at The Glenlivet Distillery and follow the signed path for half a mile. The estate reserves two spaces beside the castle for disabled visitors; general visitors should use the distillery car park. The route surface and step-free access inside the ruin aren't documented, and the low doorway takes some bending.
John Gordon of the Huntly family completed Blairfindy Castle in 1564. It was a fortified, three-storey L-plan tower house. The surviving stone walls and square windows still show the building's shape, even with its roof gone. The interpretation posts add context as you look around.
The doorway is very low, so watch your head going in. Steel supports and brick repairs are visible inside: this is a stabilized ruin, not an untouched shell. Outside, visitors mention views toward Ben Rinnes and the Livet valley. Step back from the walls for a wider photo that catches the castle against the surrounding landscape.
