Getting there

Going clockwise from the Island in the Sky Visitor Center, Labyrinth is about 72 miles and 10 hours along the route. You need an overnight permit to camp here; day trips also require a permit, and spring and fall demand often exceeds the number of overnight permits. White Rim requires high-clearance 4WD with low range. Expect long rocky stretches, deep sand, steep exposed segments and very little shade.
