Overview
Indian Creek Falls is a 25-foot cascade on Indian Creek in the Deep Creek area. Water slides over sloping sandstone into a large pool. It’s the farthest of three named falls on the Deep Creek outing. If you’ve already walked as far as Tom Branch Falls, I’d continue; this is a satisfying final waterfall rather than a quick roadside stop. The round trip from the Deep Creek parking area is 1.6 miles with 160 feet of climbing.

Guide
Start at the north end of Deep Creek Road, beyond Deep Creek Campground. The wide gravel trail follows the creek past Tom Branch Falls, then turns onto Indian Creek Trail and a short side path down to the falls. Expect occasional roots and rocks. The last approach can be muddy or slippery, and getting down to the pool is steep, so take your time and stay with the established viewing area.
This isn’t a vertical drop: the creek spreads over angled sandstone before gathering in the pool below. For a photo, frame the sloping rock and the pool together instead of cropping tightly around the white water; the full view shows the shape of this 25-foot fall.
Parking is at the end of Deep Creek Road, and the park requires a parking tag for stays over 15 minutes. The nearest restrooms are at Deep Creek Campground and are seasonal. Pets aren’t allowed on the trail. The park lists free, first-come GRIT Freedom Chairs for this hike; the gravel route has some roots and rocks, and the final spur can be slick, so check the park’s trail details before relying on one.
