The Hike
Start from Middle Prong Trailhead at the end of Upper Tremont Road. Cross the iron footbridge and follow the broad, mostly flat path along Lynn Camp Prong. About 0.3 miles in, a bench offers a straight‑on view of the first cascades. Continue upstream to reach larger, stair‑step falls—your classic 1.4‑mile roundtrip turnaround. Expect a few narrower or washout sections, but it stays easy and family‑friendly.
Why It’s Special
You’re walking history: this corridor traces a former Little River Lumber Company railroad grade through rhododendron and rock outcrops. The gentle grade makes it one of the park’s best easy waterfall walks, and the layered bedrock turns the creek into a natural staircase.
