At the end of a scenic climb up Miette Road, Miette Hot Springs serves up a blissfully simple formula: very hot mountain water and massive Fiddle Valley views. The source bubbles out at 54°C (129°F)—the hottest in the Canadian Rockies—then gets cooled to a comfortable ~40°C (104°F) for soaking.

Miette is a seasonal operation, generally May through October, with the 15 km access road opening and closing around the same timeframe. The Miette area often melts out earlier than higher trails elsewhere in the park, making it a good shoulder‑season bet. If you’re towing, there’s a trailer drop‑off at the Lower Mine Trail parking lot to make the climb and parking easier.

Pools & Facilities

You’ll find four outdoor pools: two hot and two cool, perfect for contrast soaks. The facility is straightforward but well looked after—modern change rooms with showers and lockers, towel/swimsuit rentals, and a small café/snack setup. A nice touch: the pools are drained, scrubbed, and refilled nightly, so water quality stays high.
