The Florida Keys History & Discovery Center is a two-floor, 7,500-square-foot museum and learning center on the Islander Resort grounds in Islamorada. It focuses on Upper Keys history and reef ecology. I’d stop if you like local history: the exhibits and films connect the islands around you to the people, railway, reefs and storms that shaped them. This is a compact gallery visit, not a large aquarium or a full-day museum. Give it about two hours if you want time for both the displays and films; if you have less, prioritize the Flagler railroad and 1935 hurricane stories.
