Rainbow Forest Lodge Gift Shop

Rainbow Forest Lodge Gift Shop is a concession store at the south entrance, among the park’s giant petrified logs. I’d treat it as an easy add-on while you’re visiting this side, not a destination by itself. It carries traditional gifts and petrified wood sourced from private lands. Despite the name, this is a shop, not overnight lodging.

The nearby Rainbow Forest Museum and Visitor Center is a separate stop for paleontological exhibits and the park film. The visitor-center complex also has public restrooms and a picnic pavilion, and its gift shop lists limited snacks. Trail access from the complex includes Giant Logs, Long Logs and Agate House, so there’s plenty to pair with a quick browse.

The lodge building went up in the 1920s as automobile visitation grew, with housing for park staff behind it. The shop still occupies that building, but it has been substantially modified; this is a stop tied to the park’s early visitor services, not a preserved historic interior.
