Ayers Rock Campground is a large, resort-run campground in Yulara, about 20 km from Uluṟu and outside the national park. It’s a practical base if you want to camp near the park or stay in a cabin; the resort is about a 10-minute drive from the park entry station, and camping inside the park isn’t allowed.

You can book powered or unpowered sites, tent-only pitches, two-bedroom cabins, or Desert Camp, the unpowered area where you choose an unmarked spot on the red dirt. Regular sites are near shared facilities and water. Desert Camp has little shade and no marked boundaries, and a 24-hour generator runs nearby, so light sleepers should bring earplugs. The cabins are air-conditioned and have cooking equipment and linens, but no bathroom. Site sizes and spacing vary, so check the details of the option you book.
