Breidamerkursandur—better known as Diamond Beach—sits where the short river from Jökulsárlón meets the Atlantic. Freshly calved icebergs drift out of the lagoon, then many wash back ashore and scatter across the black sand like glass sculptures. It’s simple to visit, visually jaw‑dropping, and different every time you stop.
