The lake sits below a steep, layered rock slope, with conifers and driftwood at the shore. For a defining view, frame the water against the rock face with shoreline logs or a branch in the foreground. Hiking is the only access; July to mid-September is the park’s prime season, and many trails can remain snowbound into late June. Check trail conditions before setting out.
