Tucked south of Dunphys Campground on the Bellbird Lookout Track, this low-key viewpoint—also referred to locally as Bellbird Point—feels far from the tourist circuits. It isn’t one of the formal National Parks lookouts, but that’s the appeal: simple, scenic, and unspoiled.

Getting There & Trail Feel

Reaching the lookout involves a walk along Bellbird Lookout Track. Reports mention an initial steep pinch that soon eases off before the trail finishes at the viewpoint. Take your time on the descent and keep well back from the drop-offs near the end.

None at the lookout itself. No toilets, no tables, no water, no bins—pack in what you need and pack out everything you bring.

Safety Notes

Cliff edges here are unfenced and it’s a long way down. Stay well back from the rim, especially in wind or wet conditions, and supervise kids closely near the endpoint.
