Facilities & Access

• Inlet Beach picnic area (off Inlet Crescent, by Painkalac Creek) has toilets, undercover BBQs and tables—gold for families.
• Park along Inlet Crescent near the picnic area; if bays are full, the Aireys Inlet Reserve & Skate Park up the road has public toilets and extra parking.
• Other nearby coves (Sunnymead, Sandy Gully, Step Beach) are lovely but have minimal facilities—use the Inlet Crescent toilets first.

Safety Notes

Coastal conditions change fast here. Strong surf and rips are common—only swim at patrolled beaches when flags are up. If you wander the rock shelves around the headlands, go at low tide, watch the ocean, and don’t get cut off by rising water. Keep back from cliff edges; collapses do happen.

Best Time to Visit

Plan rock‑platform exploring for low tide. On busy holiday periods, arrive earlier to beat the parking squeeze and use the picnic area as your base. Weather can turn quickly—layers help, especially outside summer.
