This is the trailhead for Mosca Pass near the Visitor Center, not the mountain pass itself. The small parking area also serves Montville Nature Trail and the Wellington Ditch connection.
Choose your walk
Mosca Pass Trail climbs through forest along Mosca Creek toward the pass; plan about 7 miles round trip. Montville Nature Trail is a separate short interpretive loop. Wellington Ditch connects toward Piñon Flats Campground. Follow the signed junctions for your chosen route.
Access and planning
The trailhead is just beyond the Visitor Center along the main park road. Use the Visitor Center for water and current trail advice. Carry water, prepare for mountain weather, and check current access and pet rules with the park.
