The complete mapped loop from the Ubirr trailhead is about 1.23 km (0.76 miles). Parks Australia rounds the walk to 1 km; allow at least 1 hour, including time at the galleries and lookout. It is an easy Grade 2 walk overall, with a steep, rocky 250 m climb to the lookout.

The loop passes the Mabuyu, Narmarrkan Sisters and Rainbow Serpent galleries, with x-ray and contact-era paintings that document Bininj/Mungguy culture and the long history of the site. Park at the Ubirr car park at the end of Ubirr Road off Oenpelli Road and follow the signed walk from the Ubirr trailhead. The main art area is flat and accessible, but the rocky lookout climb is not suitable for wheelchairs or strollers. Wear grippy shoes, carry water, and do not touch the rock art. Check Kakadu’s current access report before travelling because wet-season flooding can close road access. A Kakadu park pass is required, and sunset is popular at the lookout.
