From Muddy Creek, the Rees Valley route takes 12 km and 4–5 hours to reach the park boundary. It starts on a vehicle track, then uses marker poles across boggy ground. That’s the approach’s distance to the boundary, not a verified distance to the falls. The route crosses private farmland, so stay on the marked track and leave gates as you find them. The Kea Basin side trip starts across the Rees River north of the falls; you don’t need that crossing to see Lennox Falls along the approach. A dedicated lookout isn’t documented, so don’t leave the route seeking a closer view.
