This is the Allied fuel stop beside State Highway 6 at Makarora, a practical refuelling point on the Haast Pass drive between Haast and Wānaka. Fuel options around Makarora are limited, so it can be a useful stop before a longer leg.
The station’s published fuel list includes 91 petrol and diesel, though today’s stock and opening hours aren’t confirmed. Visitor reports on card acceptance conflict, so carry another way to pay.
