Lake Rotoroa Campsite is a small, 10-site campground in native bush at Lake Rotoroa's western end, with grassy, non-powered tent pitches. It's a good fit for a basic night near the water, not a serviced stay. The tent patch sits back from the public foreshore, where the broader lake view, boat ramp and jetty are a short walk away. Sites are first come, first served; bookings aren't needed.

Keep it simpleThe tap water is untreated and should be boiled before drinking.

The tap water is untreated and should be boiled before drinking. Toilets are basic; expect a short walk to the public facilities near the foreshore. Bring food for a self-catering stay; there is no regular food service at the campground. Sandflies can make sitting or eating outside miserable, so take repellent. Fires and dogs aren't allowed.
