Fortress Junction is a service station and small general store on Highway 40, about 40 km south of the Trans-Canada and north of Peter Lougheed's main lakes. It's a practical fuel and supply stop before heading farther into Kananaskis Country.
The station offers fuel and propane, plus groceries, camping and hiking supplies, and souvenirs. There's customer parking beside the shop, and visitors report restrooms. There is no EV charging.
Fuel and store stock have been inconsistent. Check directly before making this your only plan for fuel, propane or a specific supply.
