Gray Fox Overlook is a marked viewpoint on the southern Javelina loop in Red Rock State Park. Treat it as a trail stop, not a roadside pullout; I’d add it to a walk on this side of the park rather than plan the day around this point alone. The park’s interconnecting trails total about five miles. There’s no reliable spur distance for Gray Fox, so check the trail map and treat it as a stop along Javelina rather than planning around a precise out-and-back.
The Javelina Trail passes through pinyon-juniper woodland. A low red-rock butte rises beyond the canopy from this view. For a phone photo, keep some trees along the bottom of the frame so the rock sits in its desert setting; that works better than filling the shot with sky. No particular landmark or viewing direction is confirmed, so look around before choosing a frame.
