Best time to go
If you’re making a special trip for lunch, have a backup plan: the stand can sell out before its posted closing time, and published opening times conflict. This is the food stand beside Kōkī Beach, separate from the beach itself.

Guide
Huli Huli Chicken is an open-air roadside stand on Haneoo Road, just past Kōkī Beach Park. Picnic tables face the water and ʻAlau Island, so the setting is part of the draw. I’d stop for a casual plate lunch by the shore; treat the food as a pleasant gamble, not a guaranteed highlight.
The stand is known for huli-huli chicken; huli means “turn,” a nod to turning the chicken over the fire. Older menu descriptions list chicken, pork or ribs with rice, potato macaroni salad and greens. The current lineup isn’t confirmed, so ask what’s available when you arrive.
