This overlook is known for a tranquil feel compared to a few of the heavier-hitting stops. Keep an eye out for deer along the drive and raptors riding thermals; songbirds are common. Black bears are possible in the broader area but not typical right at the pullout.

Logistics

It’s a straightforward pullout—no restrooms, no water, no picnic tables. Parking is limited to a handful of spots. Plan to pack out any trash. There isn’t a formal trailhead here; hiking access is better from nearby stops along Skyline Drive.
