“Mosquito Creek is coming up, with a small seasonal campground and a separate wilderness hostel. Choose the campground for a simple wooded base on the Parkway, with some sites beside the creek and mountain views.”

“…Loved the commentary as you drove thru. I’m sure the app can do more than I know but the tips were very helpful. I’m gonna use it when we go to Banff next month.”

Mosquito Creek Campground is a 38-site, unserviced campground on the Icefields Parkway, 27 km north of the Highway 1/93N junction. It suits tents and motorhomes or trailers up to 10 m (35 ft). Choose it for a basic stop with a wooded mountain setting, not for full-service RV camping.

Sites are first-come, first-served, and the campground is seasonal, generally open from June into October. Check this year's dates before driving out; weather can shift the opening and closing. Bring a park entry pass and camping permit. Each site allows up to six people, with either two tents and two cars or one RV/camper, one tent and one car.

There’s drinking water, an outhouse, fire pits, and cooking and picnic shelters. Sites have no hookups, and there’s no cell coverage on this stretch of the Parkway. There’s no RV water fill here; the RV dump station is at Lake Louise Campground.

Some campsites sit beside Mosquito Creek, with trees and mountain views around them. That mix of running water and a tucked-in forest setting is the campground’s special draw, though a creekside site isn’t guaranteed. It’s a simple place to settle in for the night, especially if you’re exploring the Icefields Parkway.
