Guide
Carlsbad Caverns Trading Company Restaurant is the park’s surface restaurant, inside the visitor center past the gift shop. It’s a practical place to get food and drinks before or after exploring the cavern. Expect a limited selection of food plus bottled, fountain and hot drinks.
Food is prohibited inside the caves; plain, unflavored water is allowed, with limited medical exceptions. If you’re planning a long cave visit, stop here before heading in or wait until you’re back. The visitor-center complex has ramped access and accessible parking.
The menu is limited, and visitors sometimes report slow service, so don’t make this your only plan if you need a particular dish or a tightly timed meal. It works best as an easy onsite stop, not a meal to schedule around.
