Tucked into a lodgepole pine forest a short walk from Jackson Lake, Colter Bay RV Park is the inside-the-park spot for RVers who want convenience without sacrificing the setting. Every site has water, sewer, and 20/30/50‑amp electric, so you can settle in and focus on exploring rather than juggling tanks and batteries.

Sites & Layout

There are 112 full‑hookup sites: 102 pull‑through and 12 back‑in. Pull‑throughs accommodate rigs up to about 45 feet; back‑ins up to about 30 feet. Expect gravel pads and picnic tables, with shade varying by loop. If your combined rig and tow vehicle exceed site limits, plan on using the nearby overflow parking area.

Amenities & Nearby Services

Hookups are at your site; showers and laundry are in the Colter Bay Village launderette a short walk away. You’re also steps from a small grocery, restaurants, a marina, and fuel in the village—handy when you need ice, a meal, or to top off before a scenic drive. Generator use isn’t needed (and generally not allowed) thanks to the hookups.

Wildlife & Setting

The forested setting keeps things peaceful, and wildlife does wander through the broader Colter Bay area—think deer and the occasional bison—with bears in the region. Follow food‑storage rules and keep a clean camp.

Reservations & Season

This place is extremely popular during the summer operating season. Reservations are required and open months in advance; last‑minute walk‑ups rarely score a site. Use the reservation map to match your total rig length to the right site type.

Best Time to Visit

Midweek stays are typically quieter. For photography and relaxing strolls, aim for early mornings or golden hour—Jackson Lake is a few minutes away and shines at sunset. Arrive earlier in the day for smoother check‑in and easier navigation around the village.

Good to Know

Cell coverage is hit‑or‑miss and Wi‑Fi is not reliable at sites; plan to disconnect. Showers and laundry are paid services at the launderette; bring a card and a small toiletries kit.
