Overview
Powered sites occupy part of the oval's perimeter; unpowered sites spread across most of the reserve. Some outer sites look toward the river and headland, though views vary by position. Kangaroos are regularly seen grazing across the grass. The nearby beach is a better fit for a walk or coastal look than a swim, given the exposed surf.

Guide
Princetown Recreation Reserve is a campground beside the Gellibrand River, about 6 km east of the Twelve Apostles. It makes most sense as an overnight base for the Apostles and Port Campbell coast, not as a separate sightseeing stop. It's also near the last section of the Great Ocean Walk, with Princetown Wetlands and the beach close by. Book ahead; reservations are essential.
