Boulder Creek Walk

Boulder Creek Walk is a short 2 km (1.24-mile) return hike from the signed Boulder Creek carpark in the Yurmikmik walks network to a seasonal waterfall and plunge pool. The stored line follows the physical corridor once, about 0.74 km each way, rather than duplicating the return trip. It passes through shady monsoon forest and over uneven natural ground and boulders, with the best waterfall experience in the wet season.

Expect a Grade 3 walk with a few rough, rocky sections and potentially slippery footing near the creek. The falls and pool are seasonal; only enter the water when local signs permit and follow all crocodile warnings. Carry water, stay on the marked route, and allow about one hour for the full return walk. A bushwalking permit is required for this area, and access can be seasonal. Banded fruit doves and spangled drongos may be seen in the monsoon forest.
