Boulder Beach Campground is a 135-site developed campground on the Boulder Basin of Lake Mead National Recreation Area, near Boulder City. Its paved sites fit tents and large RVs, and many have shade and a view of Lake Mead, Fortification Hill or the River Mountains. It's a comfortable base near the water, not a beachfront campground: Boulder Beach is about a 20-minute walk away.
The loops have paved pads, tables and fire rings or grills. Palms, oleanders, cottonwoods and native plants shade most sites. There are flush toilets, sinks and drinking-water spigots around the campground, plus a dump station and water refill near the entrance. There are no showers, RV hookups or Wi-Fi. Accessible sites are available. No store or food service is listed in the campground; the nearby marina docks offer dining as a separate stop.
From US 93, enter at Boulder Beach, follow Lakeshore Road about two miles and take the second right; the campground is on the left. Boulder Beach is about a 20-minute walk from camp, Special Events, Canoe/Kayak and PWC beaches are 1-2 miles away, and the River Mountains Loop Trail passes by the campground. Online reservations are currently required for all sites; check the live booking page for availability before driving out.
The campground is open year-round, but summer temperatures often exceed 100°F and winter nights can approach freezing. Choose the season you’re equipped for. Birds, lizards, antelope squirrels and coyotes live in the area. Many campers value the lake views and maintained grounds; generator noise is a recurring complaint. Quiet hours run from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., and the noise rules apply to generators then.
