Family‑owned since 1957 and set in Hemenway Harbor, Las Vegas Boat Harbor is the park’s most convenient, full‑service base for getting on the water. It’s a working marina first, but even non‑boaters enjoy strolling the floating docks and soaking up the lake views. Expect an easy, practical stop with creature comforts rather than a quiet backcountry vibe.

What You’ll Find

• Slips and moorage for a range of boats, plus overnight boat parking and courtesy docks.
• On‑the‑water fuel and two free pump‑out stations, so turnarounds are quick.
• A well‑stocked marina store for drinks, snacks, fishing and picnic supplies, boating and safety gear, and souvenirs.
• Clean public restrooms and ample dirt‑lot parking close to the docks.

Rentals and Boating

If you’re not bringing your own boat, you can rent sport boats, pontoons, and waverunners right at the harbor. It’s the easiest launchpad for exploring nearby coves and open water; just know that water levels have been lower in recent years, so ramps and pads are occasionally modified. Staff here are known to be helpful and efficient, which makes the pickup process smoother.

Food and Supplies

Harbor House Café & Lounge is a floating restaurant and bar serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner—perfect for a pre‑launch coffee or a post‑lake meal with a view of the slips. Between the café and the store, you can cover most day‑on‑the‑water needs without leaving the harbor.

Wildlife

Around the docks you’ll often see schools of carp and striped bass, along with ducks and other waterfowl. It’s fun for kids to watch from the walkways. Always follow current park guidance about wildlife interactions and feeding.

Best Time to Visit

Open year‑round, seven days a week. Mornings and weekdays are the sweet spot—cooler temps, calmer water, and lighter crowds. Weekends trend busy from late morning through mid‑afternoon. In summer, heat can be extreme, so plan early starts and long shade/water breaks.
