North Arizona Telephone Cove is a small beach and boat access on the Arizona shore of Lake Mohave. Two gravel ramps reach the water for smaller motor craft and paddle craft. This is a practical stop if you’re launching or want time at the shoreline; the draw is the water access itself.

Getting to the waterThe approach is paved until a short gravel section at the cove.

The approach is paved until a short gravel section at the cove. There are two launch ramps and trash dumpsters. Camping is prohibited here. Toilet availability at North Cove isn't clear; the separate South Arizona Telephone Cove is where vault toilets and six sheltered picnic ramadas are listed, so don't assume those facilities are at this launch.

Part of a much longer water trailNorth Telephone Cove is one access point on the Mohave National Water Trail, designated in 2020.

North Telephone Cove is one access point on the Mohave National Water Trail, designated in 2020. The trail follows 76 miles of the Colorado River from Eldorado Canyon to the Laughlin Bridge beyond Davis Dam, with access to about 190 miles of shoreline and roughly 190 coves. For a photo, keep some of the gravel shore in the foreground and the low desert ridges across the lake in view; that gives the open water a sense of place.
