Overview
Mount Rushmore Gift Shop is the memorial's main standalone souvenir store, separate from the smaller bookstores in the Visitor Center, Sculptor's Studio, and Information Center. The wide selection includes a dedicated Local section for work by area artists and vendors. If you want something with a regional connection, start there.

Guide
Local and regional gourmet items share the store with gifts and Black Hills Gold jewelry. The shelves also carry snacks and general supplies, with seating for a short break. Treat it as a browse-and-snack stop rather than a place for a full meal.
A 2017 remodel brought wood from mountain-pine-beetle-killed trees into much of the shop's wall finish and furniture. The central trellis uses more than a ton of Black Hills ponderosa pine from trees killed by the beetle. The woodwork gives the shop a small piece of the surrounding forest's story.
Gift Shop cashiers accept the memorial parking payment, so you can settle it here. The shop is wheelchair accessible. For a meal, use Carvers' Café separately; this is the quick snack stop.
