Its flattened trunk once let visitors drive cars across it, but rot weakened the wood and ended that tradition. You can still walk along the trunk. If you are thinking of nearby Tunnel Log, that is a different fallen tree cut through for the road.

There is a parking area beside the tree. In summer, shuttles may stop here; otherwise you can park at the log or walk in on the parallel Moro Rock Trail. In winter, reach the area by hiking, snowshoeing, or skiing. This is a brief stop, and the nearest summer restrooms are at Giant Forest Museum, Moro Rock, or Crescent Meadow; those roadside restrooms close in late fall.
