Pebble Creek Campground is a small, 27-site frontcountry campground beside Pebble Creek in Yellowstone's northeastern corner, near the Northeast Entrance. When operating, it makes the most sense for an itinerary centered on the northeast and Lamar Valley; it's a long drive from the central geyser basins.
The main draw is the creekside setting, with open views toward the surrounding mountains and valley. Bison and bears have also been spotted on nearby drives, so this corner can reward both scenery and wildlife watching without making the campground itself a big attraction.
When open, expect basic seasonal services: potable water, vault toilets, food-storage lockers and trash or recycling. There are no showers or camp store, and cell service and internet are unavailable. This is a small, rustic place to stay for the northeast, not a full-service base for exploring the whole park.
