Guide
Interior Entrance Station is Badlands National Park’s southern vehicle entrance, on SD 377 about two miles north of its junction with US 44 in the town of Interior. It is one of the park’s three entrance stations. If you’re approaching on US 44, this is your gate; it isn’t a separate attraction to detour for.
At the booth, staff can assess entrance fees and issue passes. The station also provides park maps, brochures and information, and issues permits. Pick up a map here if this is your first stop in the park.
This is a vehicle entry and information stop, not a visitor center or an extended visit. Use it to get oriented and then continue into the park; the station’s value is making the southern approach straightforward.
