Landmark Forest Adventure Park

Landmark is a ticketed family adventure park on the south edge of Carrbridge, spread across 30 acres of Scots pine woodland. Forest walks and elevated routes sit alongside water rides, play areas and indoor attractions. Set aside a proper chunk of the day, rather than treating it as a quick stop between drives.

The attractions do not all share one calendar. Some run year-round, some are seasonal, and others open on selected days or when the weather allows. The lineup includes Wild Water Coasters, NetworX and RopeworX, Dinosaur Kingdom, the Butterfly House and Bamboozeleum’s optical illusions. Check the current activity schedule before you go, especially if a particular ride is the reason for your visit. Queues can vary with the day and attraction, so leave some flexibility in your plan.

The park's activities are spread among the trees, so expect to walk between them. There are low woodland paths and an elevated treetop route, with rides and exhibits tucked through the campus. That wooded setting is the park's distinctive thread: even a day built around rides keeps bringing you back into the forest.

The Forest Tower has 105 steps and rises over the pine canopy, with views across the surrounding landscape toward the Cairngorms. It is the standout place to pause between activities. From up there, keep the treetops in the foreground of a photo; they show how high the tower lifts you above the wood.

About 55% of the park is woodland, and Scots pine makes up nearly all of its canopy. The surviving pinewood is part of the wider Strathspey forest, with maps marking this wood around 1700. Under the pines are acidic soils, bog woodland, two small lochans and a stream, shaped in part by glacial gravel left from the last ice age.

Wildlife recorded in the wood includes red squirrel, pine marten, Scottish crossbill, crested tit and great spotted woodpecker. They are possibilities in a working woodland, not guaranteed sightings. The Butterfly House adds a closer look at butterfly and moth life cycles; the park's conservation work also uses butterfly pupae to support habitat-protection projects in Cambodia, Vietnam and Sri Lanka.

Forester's Café, Pinewood Grill and the Snack Shack are marked around the park, along with toilets at several points. Food availability varies with the season and day. The site has car parking and level access is listed, though ride-by-ride accessibility details are limited; check directly before booking if that will affect your visit.
