About Lighthouse Keepers’ Quarters

Perched on the exposed eastern plateau of East Anacapa, the Lighthouse Keepers’ Quarters are part of the historic Anacapa Island Light Station. The cluster of white, Spanish Revival–style buildings dates to 1932 and tells a vivid story of isolation and self‑sufficiency on a wave‑battered headland. You can roam the grounds, take in the architecture, and pair the visit with the short Lighthouse Hike from the island visitor center.
