Hiking Inspiration Point Trail
Route and TerrainFrom the visitor center, follow the designated trail through the island's figure-eight trail…
From the visitor center, follow the designated trail through the island's figure-eight trail system. The lower branch passes the Pinniped Point overlook before joining the shared western approach to Inspiration Point; return on the upper branch near Cathedral Cove to complete the loop. The route is mostly gentle island-terrace walking on natural ground, with exposed sections and ocean cliffs. The dock landing is reached separately by boat and stairs; the NPS distance is measured from the visitor center, not the dock.
