Overview
Paved loops wind through tall pines and palmetto. Visitors often describe the sites as roomy and spaced apart, but RV pads vary: some campers report short pads or awkward site orientations. Check your site before arriving with a long rig; the posted RV limit is 35 feet and trailers are not allowed. Tent campers have reported hard ground that can make stakes difficult to drive, so pack sturdy stakes.

Guide
Long Pine Key is a 108-site drive-in campground about seven miles from the Homestead entrance, just off the main park road. It is one of Everglades’ two drive-in campgrounds and a useful overnight base if you want to stay inside the park. The season falls in the cooler months, with both reserved and first-come sites; confirm the operating dates when booking because the posted end dates conflict.
Every site is non-electric. You get flush toilets, potable water, hot showers, a dump station and an amphitheater, but there is no camp store, so bring food and supplies. Cell service is unreliable. Accessible campsites and wheelchair-accessible restrooms are available.
A pond and picnic-table area sit among the pines, and campers mention birds and other wildlife around the water. Pets must stay on a leash no longer than six feet and are limited to the campground, parking lots and roadsides. Fires are allowed in grills only.
