Guide
Richardsons Beach Campground is Freycinet’s main beachside camping area. The powered pitches sit by the visitor centre, while tent-only sites are tucked into low scrubby dunes behind the sand. A short walk puts you on Richardsons Beach, looking across the bay toward the Hazards. I’d choose it for that easy shore access and setting.
Sites 1–18 are hardened, powered pitches for small caravans, camper trailers, rooftop tents or campervans up to 18 feet. Sites 19–45 are unpowered and tent-only. The powered area is more open and can feel close together; the tent pitches sit farther back among the brush.
