Honeymoon Bay“Honeymoon Bay is coming up, a tiny pocket of sand among pink-grey granite, with the Hazards rising behind it. Stop here for a swim or snorkel in the sheltered cove, rather than a long beach walk.”

Trail guide
Plan for about 3.8 miles (6.1 km) from Honeymoon Bay to Parsons Cove and back; allow roughly 1.5–2 hours. The map traces the outward corridor once, while the stated length includes the return. From Honeymoon Bay car park, follow the shared-use path toward the Wineglass Bay walking-tracks car park, then continue by local-road access toward the cove. Parsons Cove beach is the payoff; turn around there and retrace your route. The mapped line ends near the beach access, leaving a short final approach on foot.
The shared section follows a compacted path through coastal heath and woodland. It has a generally gentle grade with small rises, but it is not an uninterrupted footpath: the route includes road crossings and a local-road approach. Cyclists also use the shared path, so keep left and follow crossing signs; cyclists are expected to give way to walkers.
Parsons Cove has a curved sandy beach, low granite rocks and a short L-shaped rock jetty against a wooded shore. The mapped endpoint is about 60 metres from the beach reference point, so the last part of the visit is not shown in the route line. Facilities at the cove itself were not verified.
A valid Tasmanian parks pass is required. Toilets are available at Honeymoon Bay and the Walking Tracks Car Park along the route. Ordinary pets are not permitted in Tasmania’s national parks; assistance dogs are allowed. Published round-trip estimates differ slightly; the mapped line is about 2.8 km one way, while the listings imply roughly 3.1 km each way, so treat the distance as approximate.
