Guide
St. Mary Entrance Station is the vehicle checkpoint at Glacier’s east entrance, where drivers enter before continuing west on Going-to-the-Sun Road. It’s a quick, practical stop rather than a sightseeing destination. The nearby St. Mary Visitor Center is a separate building.
When the station is unstaffed, its self-registration area sells seven-day passes.
The current station was constructed in 2017, then modified in 2018 to raise its building height for oversized vehicles. It’s a small but useful bit of design history at this practical gateway.
