Wild Goose Island Overlook

Wild Goose Island Overlook is a roadside viewpoint on Going-to-the-Sun Road, looking across St. Mary Lake to a tiny island beneath Glacier’s high peaks. It’s one of the park’s signature views and a good quick stop while driving the road. The island rises only about 14 feet above the water, so the lake and mountains are a big part of what makes the scene work.
