Before you go

Best time to go

This is a seasonal campground at high elevation, where early snow can shorten the visitor season. The drive between the North and South Rim villages is about 215 miles and five hours, so plan this as a separate North Rim stay rather than a quick detour from Grand Canyon Village. Reserve ahead and check current dates before building a trip around them.
