Hiking Bridle Path

A useful North Rim connectionBridle Path is a 1.

Bridle Path is a 1.6-mile point-to-point walk between North Kaibab Trailhead and the former Grand Canyon Lodge parking area. The hard-packed path follows AZ 67 through the developed North Rim; it is most useful as a link between those two ends, rather than a destination hike. The park gives about an hour one way, or 3.2 miles if you walk back by its published distance.

What the walk is likeHead south from North Kaibab Trailhead.

Head south from North Kaibab Trailhead. The route stays beside the road, with a hill near the former lodge end and little elevation change elsewhere. The traced path is about 1.8 miles one way, a little longer than the listed 1.6, so allow up to about 3.6 miles for a return walk.

Plan the connectionLeashed pets, stock, and bicycles are allowed.

Leashed pets, stock, and bicycles are allowed. The former lodge lot is the south endpoint; if you do not arrange a ride between ends, plan to retrace the route. North Rim access and services are seasonal, so check current operations before you make the drive.
