Visitor centre, food and access

The attraction is at 360 Phillips Track. The main car park holds more than 200 vehicles and is about a 300 m walk from the visitor centre; accessible parking is roughly 50 m away. The centre also serves as a regional visitor-information hub and has a small shop. Black Snail Cafe offers takeaway food, including some gluten-free and vegan options. Brought-in food, picnics and alcohol are not allowed on the premises.

The operator describes the walk as semi-accessible: grated sections and stairs can be difficult, and the Spiral Tower is reached by stairs only. A courtesy cart to the walk start may be arranged, but its availability varies and it is not wheelchair accessible. Check with the operator if step-free access or the cart is essential to your visit.

Otway Fly Treetop Adventures is a rainforest attraction near Beech Forest, with a self-guided elevated walk, a spiral tower, a cantilever over Young’s Creek, a guided zipline and a themed forest trail. The full Rainforest and Treetop Walk covers 1.9 km in about an hour. Its 600 m of steel walkway hangs about 25 to 30 m above the forest floor, giving you a view from the tree ferns up into the canopy. Choose it when you want to experience the forest at several levels; leave enough time if you have booked the zipline too.

The route moves from the rainforest floor onto the raised walkway, with grated sections and stairs along the way. It is self-guided, so take your time and look down through the mesh as well as out through the trees. From the cantilever, keep some of the steel structure and the treetops in your photo; that shows the height and makes the scene recognizably Otway Fly.

The guided zipline tour moves between elevated “cloud stations” and can take up to two and a half hours; its ticket includes entry to the Treetop Walk. The Enchanted Forest is a separate, storybook-style trail with fairy houses and themed settings, plus an activity booklet for children. If you want all three experiences, plan this as a substantial stop rather than a quick stretch of the legs.

Beech Forest grew around timber logging, and the Fly was built into that working landscape. A local account of the project says it reused old logging roads to limit new construction through the forest; much of the structure was fabricated away from the site before installation. The raised walk lets visitors explore the canopy while keeping much of the route on an established footprint.
