The Jacob A. Crocker House is a two-storey, biscuit-box-style fisherman's house built around 1898, now a furnished home museum in Trout River. The Town of Trout River runs it to tell how the fishery shaped the community. If you like seeing local history inside an actual home, this is a grounded stop between bigger park outings; if you came for trails and wide-open scenery, you can skip it without losing a view.
Jacob A. Crocker Sr. built the house. He and Eloshia had eight children. After he died in 1916, she worked in a local cannery and later as a stewardess aboard the SS Kyle. That detail gives the museum a strong human thread: life in the house was tied to the fishing work around Trout River. The rooms are furnished to represent a late-1800s fisherman's home, while the museum's focus is the fishery's place in the town.
