Guide
Silverhorn Creek Campground is a small, 45-site campground in Banff National Park, 56 km north of Lake Louise and 177 km south of Jasper. It’s a good overnight stop if you want a basic night surrounded by mountain scenery. Some sites sit close to the creek, and the setting is often described as quiet.
Sites are unserviced, for tents and RVs. Parks Canada lists outhouses, a picnic shelter, firepits and food-storage lockers; motorhomes and trailers up to 20 m can fit. There’s no cell coverage at campgrounds along the Parkway. Silverhorn has no potable-water fill, so bring what you need or fill at Waterfowl Lakes campground. Parks Canada lists no accessible facilities here.
Silverhorn is reached from AB-93 and is a summer-only campground. Every site is reservation-only, so book before you arrive. Waterfowl Lakes, Bow Lake and Peyto Lake viewpoint are nearby, making this a practical base between the Parkway’s bigger stops rather than a full-service RV park.
