Guide
Manzanita Lake Camping Cabins is a seasonal, concession-run lodging area on the park’s northwest side. Its 20 wood cabins come in one-room, two-room and bunkhouse layouts, with separate glamping tents. The cabins are booked separately from the neighboring NPS campsites; this is a camping-style stay, with the lake and the park’s northwest sights close by.
Cabins have beds, a propane heater, a bear-proof food box, a fire ring with grill grate, and a picnic table. There is no electricity, running water, bathroom or bedding inside; bring your own bedding and cooking gear. The three-inch mattresses are firm, so bring an extra pad if you want more cushion. A flashlight is useful without electricity.
The cabins sit in ponderosa pine forest around 5,890 feet. They were Lassen’s first new accommodations since 1972. One cabin each in the one-room and two-room models has an access ramp; check route details ahead if step-free access matters. Leashed dogs can be at the site but not inside the cabins.
